Scottsdale Garden Wedding with Two Brides

After meeting while Samantha was a bartender, the couple found their perfect match. Both passionate and outspoken, they both loved deeply and were very much drawn to one another. Their Boojum Tree wedding was set in the lovely oasis in Scottsdale that is Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens. The couple enjoyed a tear jerking first look which was quickly followed by Ashlee seeing their son for the first time and then her father seeing her. It was nothing, but happy tears. Their ceremony was beautiful in front of one of the venue’s stunning fountains.

After a chic cocktail hour at the cantina, the party continued their celebration with dinner in the greenhouse followed by dancing under the stars. Scroll to see everything captured by Blue Arrow Photography!

How did you meet?

Samantha took over as the owner of the restaurant I worked at for my second job in 2016 and the rest is history.

What is your proposal story?

Samantha knows how close I am to my parents and how much their marriage inspires me. She proposed on their 40th wedding anniversary 10/28/2018 at their house in front of all my family friends. She actually carved, “Ashlee, Will You Marry Me?” on pumpkins! It was the perfect way to ask and the perfect call evening in AZ.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices).

We agreed on garden/boho/rustic chic as it combines both of our aesthetics perfectly.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

We skipped a TON of flowers (I mean we got married in a garden) and decided to go with extremely custom and perfect bouquets and boutaniers  by Stem Swag owned by a mutual friend of ours.

Tell us about your wedding flowers.

Stem Swag, a local LGBTQ+ owned company, we use them for anything floral and have been close friends with them for over a decade.
